Rod and Kyle Cookson, owners of Zender Robinson Stormer Cookson Funeral Home, believe in family. It’s a tradition.
As the name implies, Zehender Robinson Stormer Cookson Funeral Home is the conglomeration of multiple family-owned-and-operated funeral homes over the years, dating back to the Stormer Funeral Home, which was founded in 1904. The Cookson Family entered the profession in 1944, when Rod’s father, Orin Cookson, received his license. Rod entered the business in 1962 and Kyle in 1983. The company’s current location at 1435 State Street has been a funeral home since 1947.
