Meet O'Brien Insurance Agency-Tracy Kiefer
How much insurance is enough? That's the question Tracy Kiefer, agent with O'Brien Insurance Agency, tries to help her clients answer.
“You can drive a $500 car and have a $500,000 accident,” she says. “Minimum liability standards established by the state may not be enough. If the insurance doesn’t cover the entire claim, a lawsuit can garnish wages, take your savings and even raid your retirement account.
“Insurance is financial protection…but you have to have enough,” continues Kiefer, who keeps on her desk several news articles showing that $50,000 is often the minimum that a plaintiff asks for in a lawsuit.
