The Chamber held a celebration breakfast at John Wood Community College on Wednesday, June 26, 2019 to celebrate those who completed the academy.
The Diversity and Inclusion (D&I) committee serves as a subgroup within the Quincy Area Chamber of Commerce that was formed to create awareness within our community as it relates to being diverse and inclusive. The objective of the group is for businesses and organizations to look for ways or form actionable steps to embrace D&I and to leverage the strengths of all employees within their influence.

Diversity & Inclusion Academy: May 2 – August 8

This 8-session academy will feature presenters from DOT Foods, University of Illinois Extension as well as Pam Shaffer and Clarice Hetzler. Meeting every other week, topics covered will include: identifying blind spots and hidden biases, how to intentionally be inclusive, how D&I impacts your business’s bottom line and more. Pricing includes over 23 hours of training and materials.
