Quincy Chamber Rolls Out New Tiered Dues Structure

(Quincy, Illinois) The Quincy Area Chamber of Commerce (QACC) is moving to a new membership investment structure.  Like many chambers across the country, the QACC is changing to a tiered dues system which provides benefits based on the investment level a member selects.  In the past, most businesses joined, and paid membership based on the number of employees with occasional variations such as total deposits for the bank members or the number of rooms for the hotel members.  With the new dues structure, benefits increase as the investment level increases, no matter how many employees are involved.

“The Chamber Board of Directors and staff are changing the way members will invest while maintaining their important core benefits”, said Bruce Guthrie, President/CEO Quincy Area Chamber of Commerce. “The new benefit levels expand our offerings into more personalized packages that will give our members more control over their benefits.”

The new structure enables the QACC to stop limiting member organizations’ choices by forcing a one-size fits all strategy, and instead gives members more choices and drives a bigger value for each member.  The new model gives each business an opportunity to choose what programs and benefits they desire regardless of how many employees they have or what kind of business they are. Why did we adjust our due’s structure and our revenue stream? The answer is simple: it guarantees equity and choice when choosing a membership package that is important to your business.  A Membership Task Force made up of a variety of QACC members was formed to give input and assist in the creation of the new member investment levels.  There are 5 investment levels from $240 to $5000 per year.

In addition, the Membership Task Force recommended the QACC be affordable for every business in the community.  This input created the Connect Level for only a $25 investment.  The Connect Level has limited benefits but allows the business to get a feel for what Chamber investment is all about.  Also, non-profits are eligible for a reduced investment at certain levels.

The new Membership Investment Levels better recognizes the diversity and needs of our membership and provides increased customized value.  For more information, please contact Bethany Wingerter, Membership Manager at membership@quincychamber.org or (217) 222-7980
