Government Agencies
Quincy residents take advantage of excellent municipal services, police and fire protection, recreation and parks and public works. The Quincy Police Department is a full service, progressive agency providing twenty-four hour law enforcement service to our community. The department has 77 sworn officers and 17 civilians. Dispatched by the Quincy Adams County 9-1-1 Center, the department has a strong community service philosophy, seeking to work with citizens and neighborhoods to solve social-justice problems through the Crime Stoppers Program, Citizens Police Academy, Neighborhood Watch Program and D.A.R.E. program.
Quincy is proud of its close working relationship with area businesses and community organizations. Many community business leaders serve on city and village boards, commissions, and advisory groups, strengthening the ties between government and business. Area residents and business leaders are also active in a wide variety of community civic and social service organizations.
