JOIN A COMMITTEE
Any Chamber member can join one of our committtes. Most meet once a month for an hour. Call the Chamber at 222-7980 for information on any of the following Chamber committees:
AGRI-BUSINESS COMMITTEE:
The Agribusiness Committee of the Quincy Area Chamber of Commerce will:
1. Inform the Chamber members on critical issues facing the agricultural industry.
2. Acclaim the efforts of those promoting agriculture.
3. Promote traditional and non-traditional avenues that agriculture and its periphery can positively influence the local economy.
AMBASSADOR COMMITTEE:
Serve as the public relations arm of the Chamber. Coordinate Fall Golf Tournament, ribbon cuttings, business after hours, and membership recruitment and retention. (Limited to 36 members.)
LEADERSHIP COMMITTEE:
Plans and facilitates the Chamber's annual Leadership Academy.
LEGISLATIVE COMMITTEE:
Educates and motivates membership to support local and state legislative policies that enhance the business climate. Discusses state and local issues and host decision-makers. Letter-writing group.
MARKETING COMMITTEE:
Organized as an E-Committee. Serves as sounding board for Chamber programming. Provides graphic design and media relations assistance to Chamber staff. Involved in any tourism/economic development activities of the Chamber.
MEMBERSHIP COMMITTEE:
Restructuring.
TECHNOLOGY COMMITTEE:
Provides membership with educational seminars on technological advances.
WORKFORCE DEVELOPMENT COMMITTEE:
Develops and facilitates educational seminars for Chamber member employees.
