ABWA-Quincy Charter Chapter - October 22nd, 2015
Thank you to Chapter President Sue Chiodini and the rest of the ABWA-Quincy Charter Chapter for hosting our Business Before Hours! We learned that the Quincy chapter of the American Business Women's Association was established in 1962. The ABWA gives scholarships to women for profesional development, and nationwide has given away $17 million! The Quincy chapter meets on the first Thursday of the month for dinner and a program. Hannibal-LaGrange University - September 24th, 2015
Our thanks to Carolyn Carpenter, Lauren Youse and Hannibal-LaGrange University for hosting our September Business Before Hours this morning. We mingled with members of the Hannibal Area Chamber of Commerce and learned about the university's Master-level programs in leadership and education and their nursing and degree completion programs. We also learned about the 74th annual Booster Banquet, slated for Nov. 20 with guest Kevin Sorbo, star of the movie "God is Not Dead." We also got a glimpse of the beautiful Roland Performing Arts Center and enjoyed a donut bar! What a great way to start our day!

Quincy Medical Group HMR Program - August 27th, 2015
More than 70 Chamber members learned about Quincy Medical Group's Health Management Resources (HMR) weight loss program at our August Business Before Hours. Sheridan Swim Club - July 23rd, 2015
Wow! Sheridan Swim Club had the perfect morning to show off their facilities. A big thank you to Kevin Reed, board president, other board members and staff for their great hospitality.
Guests were encouraged to tour the facilities, with an indoor pool, and a 0-lane 50 meter championship pool, 25-yard T-shaped pool with diving well, Kiddie pool and a Training pool and even a NuFIT exercise facilities. Sheridan offers year-round activities to meet any family member’s needs.
Seven attendees won door prizes of day passes to Sheridan Swim Club: congratulations to Jill Bllickhan, Community Foundation; Ryan Seeland, Relax Quincy Spas; David Arns, Aire Serv of Quincy; Debbie Lee, Four Winds Farm; Bob Brewer, Hess Auto Agency; Todd Wagner, Lamar Outdoor Advertising and Suzanne Ellerbrock, Golden Bridges. Becky Albert, Quincy Hospitality House won the 10 person party pass to Sheridan Swim Club. THe Chamber attempted to give away $25 Chamber cash but representatives from Care Net Pregnancy Services, Advocacy Network for Children or BrickStreet Data Systems missed the opportunity to win. Adams County Farm Bureau/University of Illinois Extension - June 25th, 2015
What a treat! Chef Michael Mitchell prepared a locally-grown breakfast for all who attended Business Before Hours, hosted by the Adams County Farm Bureau/University of Illinois Extension. Thanks to Earl Bricker and Shawn Valter and their entire staff for the delicious breakfast and outstanding hospitality.
Lucky winners of some great prizes were Dean La Velle of Quincy Recycle, Six Flags tickets; Chad Argabright of Argabright Electric Co, and Mecki Kosin of Travel House, Adams County plat books; Karen Wagner of United Way of Adams County, products from Mid-Creek Farms; David Dedert a basket of locally-grown goodies from Grown N' Gathered. A large crowd of Chamber members and thier guests enjoyed hot Breakfast Rolys and great networking at Business Before Hours at Roly Poly Sandwiches. A big thank you to Alan Sparrow, store manager and Pat Gerveler, owner/partner and their staff for their great hospitality.
Roly Poly Sandwiches are open Mon-Fri from 10 a.m.-4 p.m. and Sat 11 a.m - 2:00 p.m. They also have catering service and free delivery in Quincy.

1st Farm Credit Services - December 18th, 2014
It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas - at least for the attendees of the December Business Before Hours, which was hosted by 1st. Farm Credit Services. A light snow fall greeted attendees this morning, a perfect setting for a delicoius hot breakfast and networking.
Several attendees won gift certificates, just in time for holiday shopping. More than 60 Chamber members and guests packed Bailey's Coffee House and Fudge Shop, anxious to sample the delicious coffee and breakfast treats while networking. Our thanks to Renee Higgins and her staff for their generous hospitality.
Bailey's sells much more than coffee and fudge. They have gift items, candy, gelato, and create custom gift baskets. Bailey's also serves healthy lunch options with its FIT menu, and once a month they feature a local lmusician or have poetry slams.

JWCC Workforce Development Center - April 24th, 2014
A large crowd turned out at Business Before Hours hosted by JWCC Workforce Training Center. Attendees enjoyed several breakfast selections, great networking and a chance to tour the Workforce Training Center.
Guests were able to see the latest equipment, taught by professionals, working in the industry today. They were able to witness the technology on computer-numeric control machines and some of the latest tools used in manufacturing today. Guests even had a chance to hop inside a big rig.

On a chilly, rainy day a large crowd of Chamber members and guest were unable to check out the driving range or par-3 course but did enjoy a delicious early morning breakfast and great networking opportunities at Knights of Colulmbus Business Before Hours. Wow! A large crowd enjoyed browsing through over 5000 square feet of retail space at Everything and the Kitchen Sink, Quincy’s Hottest Antique Mall. Everything and the Kitchen Sink offer their customers a variety of unique items, such as old and new collectibles, antiques and so much more.
Chamber members and their guests browsed the store looking for 5 items labeled “What is it and What’s it For”. Gift certificates were given for the correct answers. Our thanks to Steve and Cindy Rossiter for their great hospitality hosting the November Business Before Hours.

Guests were given the chance to learn more about Little Jess Motor Company and their inventory by taking a little quiz. Everyone with all the correct answers, which there were 7, were in a drawing for a $500 vehicle voucher. Also hidden in the cars were envelopes with gift certificates which the guests could fine by looking over the large inventory of cars and trucks at Little Jess Motor Company.
The Chamber attempted to give away $150 in cash, but representatives from Klingele Veterinary Clinic, Air Specialists or O'Griff's/Winter's West Wng, missed out on the opportunity. Wow! What a unique opportunity! Dale Koontz Builder hosted the May Business Before Hours at a custom built home in the Tuscany Fields Subdivision. Nearly 100 guests were given the opportunity to get a sneak peak at a brand new custom built home in one of Quincy's newest neighborhoods.
Our thanks to Tim and Scott Koontz for their great hospitality and a chance to tour this beautiful home. No one from Lewis B. Osterbur & Associates, Bybee Insurance or Classic Colors were on hand to claim the $50 Chamber cash prize, so the pot rolls over to $75 at the June Business Before Hours at Travel House on June 27. The Villa View Room was crowded for the April Business Before Hours event at Sunset Home. Our thanks to Jerry Neal and his entire staff at Sunset Home for their hospitality.

No one from Midwest Block & Brick, Scholz, Loos, Palmer, Siebers & Duesterhaus, or Sam's Club were present to claim the $25 cash prize, so the pot rolls over next month, when we attempt to give away $50 at the May Business Befre Hours at Dale Koontz Builders on May 23. KHQA-TV - March 28th, 2013
The studio of KHQA was crowded with Chamber members and other guests a to their state-of-the art facility for the March Business Before Hours. Community members got a chance to sneak a peek behind the scenes at the studio at 301 S 36th Street.
Our thanks to Carol Sowers and the entire staff for their outstanding hospitality. Visitors enjoyed breakfast and networking while they took station tours and learned about bringing news to the Tri-States.
Those in attendance put their business cards in a drawing for a 40 inch television; Sue Chiodini of Mercantile Bank was the winner. Barb Oitker of Dynamic Job Solutions was the lucky winner of the $25 Chamber cash. The next Business Before Hours will be hosted by Sunset Home on April 25. Hope to see you there!

From flower arrangements, toys, books and clothing for the entire family Consignors Depot showcased their wide variety of merchandise to attendees at the February Business Before Hours. Thank you to Janis and Mike Smith and entire family for their hospitality.
Consignors Depot hours are Mon thru Fri 10 - 5 and Saturdays 10-3.
