Meet T.G.I. Friday’s

“In here, every day is Friday” is the philosophy new restaurant General Manager Mike Crimmins brings to T.G.I. Friday’s, 3311 Broadway.

“We treat everyone like it’s Friday night out and they’re going to have a great time,” says Crimmins, who came to the Quincy eatery in December from Columbia, Mo. “We always have upbeat music playing, and guests receive energetic greetings from our hostesses and service people.

“We’ve improved everything…better service, improved food quality, a new rewards program. And our guests have noticed.”

T.G.I. Friday’s opened on the outskirts of the Quincy Mall in 2006, offering a full bar and the franchise’s signature fried green beans appetizers, burgers, seafood, steaks and ribs and “sizzling” entrees in addition to a variety of salads, sandwiches, pasta dishes and desserts. T.G.I. Friday’s has salad offerings under 750 calories, ‘right portion, right price’ selections that fit into the health-conscious consumer’s lifestyle, and a gluten-free menu.

“Anything we serve can be made into a Party Platter for your business meeting,” says Crimmins, noting that boneless chicken wings with a variety of dipping sauces and baby back ribs are particularly popular. “We deliver, too.”

Recently, the company introduced its “Better with Brew” menu, including the new Black Angus Brew House Steak, Ale House Shrimp and Chips, and Dijon-Crusted Beer Chicken, among others and a Guinness Stout Milkshake.
“The brews used in the preparation of those items give them a unique bold flavor. Beer enthusiasts are really enjoying them,” says Crimmins.

“We have a separate section for our bar, with a juke box and multiple televisions showing news and sports programs,” he continues. “We serve everything from $3 beer to $6 premium drinks and we have a fun and energetic bar tender who can make all kinds of drinks, whether they are listed on the menu or not,” he continues. “We even run monthly bar specials.”

T.G.I. Friday’s new “Give Me More Stripes” program rewards guests with free food, exclusive offers, benefits and more. Guests can sign up online at www.tgifridays.com or in the store. The perks are immediate.

“Just for signing up, you’ll get a Jump the Line Pass that allows you to skip to the front of the crowd and you’ll also receive a coupon for a free appetizer or dessert,” says Crimmins. “Then, every time you eat at T.G.I. Friday’s, you’ll earn one stripe for each dollar spent. As you accumulate stripes, you get more rewards.” Members also receive a complimentary dessert in their birthday month with purchase of an entrée and they get to preview new menu items before the general public.
